Equipment according to overall concept
Makita products are known for their high quality. The tool manufacturer with Japanese roots called in workplace specialist Krieg to furnish the spacious showroom in the Munich Service Center, the training facilities and the workshop.
The Makita Service Center in the Centro Tesoro commercial and office district in the east of Munich houses a spacious showroom, several training rooms and a repair workshop. "Our service center offers interested customers a special service experience. Specialist dealers as well as commercial and private end users can get detailed advice from our team on site," explains Marco Zschauer, Head of Makita Service Center Germany. Training courses are held here that are tailored to individual needs. Customers can also send in or bring in their devices for repair; every device is repaired within 48 hours, provided the required spare part is in stock. When designing and equipping the workstations, there were also different requirements for the different rooms: In the workshop, shelving systems were required for the storage of spare parts as well as work benches for the service technicians and a packing station. In the training and meeting room, high-quality seating and tables were required. In the test room, large workbenches were required on which various machines could be presented. It was also important to create storage space in which the machine accessories for testing, such as drills, bits and roughing discs, could be stored.
Neutral, simple and high-quality
There is an overall concept for all Makita Service Center locations. This is because the workplace design is linked to the corporate identity: To ensure that both Makita's own furnishings and the machines are shown to their best advantage, the workstations should be as neutral and simple as possible. "We were already satisfied with Krieg's performance and quality when fitting out previous Makita service centers. The agreed overall concept was always adhered to and optimally implemented according to our wishes," emphasizes Zschauer.
Andreas Temme, Area Sales Manager Region West at Krieg, is also pleased that the cooperation has been successively established and expanded. He has already equipped the service centers at four other locations and is enthusiastic about the well-known brand: "Whether cordless impact hammer or drill, cordless cut-off grinder or lawn trimmer: the high-quality tools have a name on the market." It is logical for him that the manufacturer, which sets high standards in terms of quality and performance, was also looking for a partner at this level: "Makita was looking for a one-stop supplier and found Krieg. We provide everything from a single source. We know the exact requirements, work flexibly and think along with you." Krieg specializes in workplace systems, covers all areas of workplace design and takes care of consulting, planning and installation in equal measure.
At 820 square meters, the Makita showroom is the most spacious room in the service center. Tego walls, presentation aids and material for the "point of sale" essentially make up the furnishings. The complete Makita product portfolio - consisting of machines and original accessories - is on display here. Dealers and customers can examine the extensive range and receive detailed advice.
Training courses are held regularly in the separate seminar area. Employees of specialist retail partners and professional users can deepen their theoretical knowledge here. There is a lectern for the trainers and tables and chairs for the training participants. Practical exercises take place in the adjoining test area; participants can pick up the machine themselves and try it out extensively. There is space to work on two workbenches with drawer systems.
The workshop is equipped with a workbench and trolleys, shelving system and packing station. Here, service technicians take care of defective appliances that are handed in or sent in directly by customers. After troubleshooting and repair, they are sent back from here.
