Emag expands in Salach
Ground-breaking ceremony for Emag's new production and office wing: A new building with space for a 6,000 square meter production hall and 4,000 square meters of office, meeting and social rooms is being built next to the main building in Salach.
Last year, the big family party was held here for the company's employees to celebrate its 150th anniversary - now the excavators are rolling in: A new 10,000 square meter building is to be constructed right next to the main building in Salach by the end of 2018. It will provide space for a 6,000 square meter production hall as well as 4,000 square meters of office, meeting and social rooms.
The company group produces manufacturing systems that are mostly used in production in the automotive industry. The high quality of the machines and the process expertise from Salach have led to the high demand. "We have received many large orders in recent years, which meant that our spatial capacities were ultimately exhausted. As a result, we rented various halls in the district last year. With the new building, we can now continue to grow both economically and in terms of personnel," says Markus Heßbrüggen, CEO of the Emag Group.
The commissioned architect, Robert Rösch, presented details of the new building. For example, the building will be constructed very sustainably and the waste heat from the machines will be used to heat the offices. At the same time, the plans are based on a flexible utilization concept. According to Rösch, Emag will be able to realize very different machines and production lines in this hall in the future. as
