A well-rounded affair
Conta-Clip completes its KDS-R range for metric knockouts from M20 to M63 with round cable glands for small diameters.
The system allows cables with cross-sections from 2 mm to 35 mm to be inserted quickly and securely into control cabinets or housings without tools. The cable management system consists of four basic components: the cable gland with integrated seal, the thread and locking adapter, the split locknut and the sealing elements.
For installation, the cables with or without plugs are simply pushed through the housing opening and the cable gland. Slotted, tapered sealing elements with a wave cut are used for sealing, which are pushed over the cables and then pressed into the bushing. For cut-outs from M40, the desired division of the cable entry openings can be achieved by clicking in inlays, which are available as simple partitions, T-pieces and cross-shaped.
Once the separable threaded and locking adapter has been screwed to the cable gland, the fully assembled cable gland is fastened to the inside of the housing opening using the separable locknut. The special design of the sealing elements achieves the high IP66 degree of protection and guaranteed strain relief in accordance with DIN EN 62444. The modular system with sealing elements for different diameters, geometries and multiple holes offers users a high degree of variability for their cabling solutions.
Tool-free installation minimizes the effort required for retrofitting and cable replacement during servicing. Feed-throughs sealed with blanking plugs enable flexible cable management for retrofitting additional cables.
