Direction-independent laser deposition welding
With the CoaxPrinter processing head from Precitec, deposition welding is possible in any direction.
Based on ring-shaped beam forming and coaxial feeding of the filler material, the wire is melted homogeneously from all directions and bonded to the local molten pool on the component surface. Compared to laser deposition welding with powder, Precitec reports a high level of material utilization, as the filler material is introduced and processed 100 percent.
The processing head has interfaces for water cooling, cross-jet and collision protection for the wire feed. All standard laser types can be used.
