Sam O'Leary is the new COO at SLM Solutions

SLM Solutions Group AG announces that Sam O'Leary will join the Management Board of SLM Solutions Group AG as new Chief Operating Officer.

As COO, he will be responsible for the areas of production, product development/R&D and supply chain management. With Sam O'Leary, SLM has gained an experienced manager with expertise in the development and commercialization of additive manufacturing systems, industrialization of production processes and optimization of supply chains.

The 36-year-old Briton joins SLM Solutions from General Electric, where he most recently led the product management of the Concept Laser division and was responsible for the development and commercialization of all product systems. Previous roles also include Alstom/GE and Score Group plc.

Meddah Hadjar, CEO of SLM Solutions, comments: "We are delighted to have such a competent and experienced colleague as Sam join our team. With his experience, he will not only contribute significantly to strengthening our innovation leadership in the long term, but will also provide essential support in the successful implementation of our strategy to once again become a market leader in our industry."
