Extech HDV700
Versatile and handy videoscope series
Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies, today announced its newest and most powerful Extech videoscope series, the Extech HDV700. The Extech HDV700 high-definition videoscope brings the most versatile device in its class to the market to help automotive, building inspection, plumbing, manufacturing and HVAC workers with unmatched camera probe options to inspect hard-to-reach areas to quickly find problems and get started on repairs.
With a choice of eight easily maneuverable, narrow and waterproof (IP67) probes, professionals can inspect machinery, pipes, air ducts and more without costly and time-consuming disassembly, thanks to the various fixed and swivel probe options.
"In all condition monitoring applications, technicians need to perform inspections in hard-to-reach and often hazardous areas, whether it's a vehicle, a building facade or a piping system," says Rob Milner, Business Development Director at Teledyne FLIR. "With the new Extech HDV700, professionals have access to videoscope kits with clearer, brighter and better image quality thanks to the lens' wide field of view (FOV). Inspections are now faster, safer and more cost-effective."
Efficient inspection with improved imaging and reporting functions
Weighing only 705 g, the HDV700 enables comfortable, one-handed inspection via the capacitive color touchscreen, which also works with gloves. Image quality also contributes to inspection efficiency - the high-resolution probe option of 1280 ×720 combined with the wide field of view lens enables effective inspection in the most difficult locations. Live comparison on the screen further facilitates inspection and enables quick and easy checking of reference images. If an inspector wonders whether a borehole is clean or not compared to its reference image, there is no longer any doubt with the split-screen function. Live images can also be displayed on a separate device for an additional inspector via the HDMI video output.
The HDV700 also has several data recording options that make it easy to create reports anywhere by transferring images and video to another device.
Probe and kit availability
Each kit includes an HDV700 videoscope screen, camera probe (model dependent on kit ordered), 32GB micro SD card, USB A to USB C cable, HDMI Type A to Type D cable, lithium-ion battery (built-in) and universal adapter. Probe options include general purpose and dual view inspection, two-way articulation with 180°, four-way articulation with 110° and pipe inspection options.
