Additional interfaces integrated
MVTec Software has launched a new version of its Merlic image processing software. In version 5.4, the focus has been placed on easier process integration.
Thanks to newly developed plug-ins, the software can now be operated via the REST interface. Thanks to the REST plug-in, the software can be controlled via a front end in the web browser. The results of the machine vision application can also be displayed there regardless of the device, for example on mobile devices. Another new plug-in enables users to access the Schneider Electric Modicon PLC. This expands the range of systems into which the software can be integrated. For example, cooperation between robots and Merlic is possible directly via a Modicon PLC with Modbus protocol.
