Automated material flow in production

Autonomous transport vehicles (AGVs) are now part of Sigmatek's intralogistics. 'Sisi' and 'Franz' reliably deliver the loaded PCB magazines and boxes to the desired location in all shifts, thus relieving the strain on employees.

The two AGVs pick up magazines independently, navigate autonomously through the production area at 1.5 m/s and also return the goods independently - whether for further manual loading or in the (interim) warehouse. Thanks to the integrated conveyor belt and lift system, the AGVs transfer their loads flexibly at different heights. Around 200 trips are made per week.

The BLS 4060 AGVs from Melkus Mechatronic are equipped with a Sigmatek automation solution: compact, vibration-resistant hardware combined with a smart Traffic Control System (TCS) and SLAM navigation. Sisi and Franz work order-controlled from the TCS, which is connected to the company's ERP, but also on demand when an employee requests them.

In detail: The S-DIAS control system takes over the automation of AGVs and AMRs, with safety seamlessly integrated. The TCS fleet management software networks various AGV and AMR variants, coordinates transport orders, handles route planning at runtime and optimizes transport orders with the integrated fleet simulation. SLAM maps can be integrated easily and directly. The real-time location software SlamLoc helps with contour-based navigation, independent of scanner hardware and platform.
