New robotics organization founded
Omron has announced the establishment of a global robotics organization effective April 1, 2025. It will operate in parallel with Omron's automation business so that both areas can complement and support each other.

Baumer has developed the new robot-compatible VeriSens vision sensors XF900 and XC900. They can control the cobots from Universal Robots after just a short set-up time.

The sBot Speed safety system from Sick enables robots that slow down when approached, stop in good time and continue working independently as soon as the person has left the work area.

With CR Easy, Weiss Robotics is expanding its Gripkits with a powerful gripping solution for cobots that is designed to simplify entry into collaborative gripping technology.
Virtual robotics. Commissioning and optimization of bin-picking applications can be carried out quickly and easily with the Mikado ARC robot vision solution. It brings flexibility to the production line and enables efficient automation in prototype construction and small series.
Electric gripper for bottle handling
Industry 4.0 opens up a wide range of possibilities for manufacturing customized mass products flexibly and economically. The Zimmer Group participated in a project for an automation concept for customized beverage bottles by developing a gripper.

Yamaha's Factory Automation Section portfolio includes all common types of industrial robots such as Cartesian and Scara robots as well as single and multi-axis articulated robots.

With the 3D vision sensor from Fanuc, images can be taken during the movement of a robot to determine the gripping position. This "snap-in-motion" function saves time during fast gripping processes because the robot does not have to interrupt its movement to take a picture.

Kuka has relaunched its best-selling KR Quantec product series to date. The first deliveries are scheduled for April 2019.

The newly developed Movikit Robotics is a standardized software module for the modular automation system Movi-C from SEW. It enables the universal control of serial and parallel robot kinematics.
Interview with Thomas Suchanek, Yaskawa
Safety plays an important role in robotics in particular. We spoke to Thomas Suchanek from Yaskawa about current trends, safety terms that everyone should know and why safety can also become a risk.
