At the Hannover Messe, T-Systems is presenting its comprehensive PLM Cloud, which has been running productively since the beginning of the year. The solution for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) from the cloud combines a unique variety of PLM systems with an end-to-end process and support for users as well as the data security of a German data center.
Additive manufacturing in metal
In the future, metallic components will not only be turned, milled or laser-cut, but also printed. DMG Mori has already been successful in additive manufacturing since 2013 with laser deposition welding using a powder nozzle. By integrating the Realizer products, the company is opening up access to selective laser melting (SLM) and positioning itself as a global full-liner for the additive manufacturing of metal components.

Bombardier, the world's leading manufacturer of trains and aircraft, is working with Siemens to expand its Teamcenter portfolio for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The aim is to optimize its own engineering processes for product development, manufacturing and support.

Many German SMEs are currently experiencing this vague fear: developments in Industry 4.0, digitalization and big data are racing past us and overrunning our traditional business. PROCAD Managing Director Raimund Schlotmann addresses the uncertainty and the need for knowledge on how to tackle the topic in his new, practical book "Digitalization for SMEs"
