Eco-design for resource-saving product concepts

The Pöppelmann Group is committed to greater sustainability and climate protection by conserving resources. The Pöppelmann K-Tech division develops products on this basis, including for use in the automotive industry, which combine economic and ecological benefits.

When designing a product, eco-design takes into account its environmental impact along its entire life cycle - from the production of raw materials to the manufacture of the product and its subsequent disposal. Pöppelmann 's recycling experts are researching more sustainable solutions, such as reducing the use of materials in production through resource-saving article concepts and efficient production processes.

Closed material cycle

The plastics specialist is committed to a completely closed material cycle across all divisions with the company-wide Pöppelmann blue initiative. As a plastics processing company, it believes it has a duty to make its products and processes as environmentally friendly as possible. The four divisions have already achieved various successes in their commitment to greater sustainability, for example by reducing the use of materials in production through resource-saving article concepts and efficient production processes.

Solutions for the automotive industry

Pöppelmann K-Tech stands for technical plastic solutions that have been made largely from recycled materials for over 25 years, such as battery housings that remain in the vehicle for many years. The division is currently working on completely closing the material cycle for these products too. Using the example of the SAM holder, the manufacturer demonstrates how lightweight construction can be combined with functional integration and resource conservation.
