Sustainability in the automation industry is a major challenge. Although automated processes make it easier to produce quickly and economically, it is usually not particularly sustainable due to high energy consumption.

Furthermore, plastic components such as suction cups, which are used in the automation industry, are not very environmentally friendly. Piab deals with these challenges on a daily basis and has already found suitable solutions with its products - because we believe in an automated world in which no resources are wasted and no people are harmed!

The presentation will focus on coax vacuum technology, which significantly minimizes energy consumption and also offers a secure and fast hold. Coax ejectors reduce the costs for the provision of compressed air and therefore also the overall production costs.

As the sustainability aspect of suction cups is not immediately apparent, we would like to take a closer look at the resource-saving use of materials and the durability of Duraflex suction cups. Due to their stable design, they require a lower vacuum level, resulting in less product damage and therefore less product waste and lower replacement part costs.

The presentation will show that highly efficient vacuum technology and long-lasting suction cups can make the automation industry more sustainable.
