CO2-neutral production
DMG Mori has been manufacturing all machines climate-neutrally since 2021 - from raw material to delivery. In addition, DMG Mori machines play a key role in the production of green technologies.
"Climate protection concerns us all. Technological leadership and environmental protection go hand in hand. DMG Mori therefore assumes holistic responsibility," says CEO Christian Thönes. DMG Mori's "Company Carbon Footprint" in relation to its own value creation has been climate-neutral since May 2020. The company avoids emissions in all areas, including through modern heating, air and cooling concepts. At the same time, self-generated renewable energy is used and only green electricity is purchased at almost all locations. The remaining, previously unavoidableCO2 emissions are offset by investments in sustainable, certified climate protection projects.
DMG Mori bundles its climate neutrality initiatives into the three areas of Greenmachine, Greenmode and Greentech: In addition to its own climate-neutral value creation, DMG Mori also offsets theCO2 emissions that arise in the supply chain, for example in the production of raw materials. Furthermore, the company has been optimizing the energy and emission efficiency of its machines for many years through specific Celos apps, consumption-optimized components such as LED lighting, the recovery of braking energy and intelligent control of all units. DMG Mori is also pushing ahead with the production and further development of green technologies.
