Networked vibration and temperature sensors
At Achema, KSB is presenting a new pump monitoring system called "KSB Guard". According to the manufacturer, networked vibration and temperature sensors directly on the pump make availability at system level transparent for the first time.
The system is designed to ensure that changes in the machine's operating behavior can be detected at an early stage and maintenance work can be better planned without having to be on site. Unlike previous systems, "KSB Guard" is designed for retrofitting. The sensor unit is attached to the bearing bracket or the drive lantern of the pump with a magnet and adhesive and can be installed during operation without interfering with the machine. A battery unit ensures a self-sufficient power supply.
