Plain bearing
Newcomers in composite and bronze
Oiles has developed a composite plain bearing from the Fiberflon series and a thin-walled bronze bearing. Both new products are based on the use of special material solutions and are suitable for many applications in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, hydraulic engineering, wind energy and material handling.
They are also suitable for compressor and pump manufacturers. One is the thin-walled bronze bearing 500SP5-SL1 Ultrathin with integrated graphite-based solid lubricants and the other is the composite plain bearing Fiberflon GH. Without additional lubrication, the bronze bearing is suitable for maximum dynamic loads of 49 N/mm2at low-speed rotations of up to 0.25 m/s despite its low wall thickness. The underwater swelling rate of the composite plain bearing is 0.3 percent and the wear in the endurance test is 0.021 mm. sw
