With Solidworks to the "Thing of the Year"

DPS Software customer Ulrich Müller, a young company founder, achieves 1st place in the Pro7 inventor show with a foldable trailer. Müller designed his innovative product with SOLIDWORKS and manufactured it with SolidCAM: the MuSchu trailer "Faltos".

What do you do with a trailer that you only need from time to time and is otherwise in the way? You fold it up! Ulrich Müller started his own business with this idea straight after completing his degree in Industrial Management and Engineering. In order to do it professionally and to a high standard right from the start, he relies on proven software and reliable partners.

The Nuremberg office of the software company DPS advised him step by step, so that the design drawing was first created with SOLIWORKS CAD and the load-bearing capacity of the drawbar was checked with SOLIDWORKS Simulation. As Müller was aiming for a consistent solution right from the start, he used SOLIDCAM iMaching to bring the whole thing onto the machine.

Favorite of the audience
Just apply, Müller thought when he heard about the "Thing of the Year" program. The viewers not only liked the cool Ulrich Müller, but also his clever trailer. After all, almost every man needs one of these things. And if it fits in the corner of the garage, all the better!
And so over a third of the viewers voted for the clever "Faltos" trailer, which can be assembled or dismantled in 10 minutes.

But now it's time to get started. After all, the new customers want to use their trailer soon!
