The solution can be implemented by simply connecting different systems in the production areas and beyond via Mcenter (formerly Sinumerik Integrate). It is an open and modular platform for the store floor. Mcenter supports companies that manufacture parts and components to gain valuable insights into all resources on the store floor based on current machine data. The aim is to improve the entire production process, shorten set-up times, make even better use of resources and reduce costs.
Mcenter supports various use cases on the store floor, for example in tool management. Central tool management, which supports the entire tool cycle, provides a transparent overview of all tools and components. This increases productivity by making it much easier to have the right tool on the right machine at the right time. Program management is another application example: NC programs are valuable production resources that can be managed transparently with program management software - including revision tracking. This enables efficient, reliable and consistent program handling.
By gaining valuable insights into production-relevant data, important key figures can be identified in order to improve machine utilization and eliminate bottlenecks. This noticeably increases the overall system effectiveness for the user.
