clipx Engineer, the engineering software from Phoenix Contact, is the software for control cabinet construction that optimizes data consistency from the circuit diagram to the control cabinet.
Bidirectional interfaces to CAE systems and the automatic creation of terminal strips via intelligent engineering assistants simplify the planning process. Optimized cooperation between planning and production can significantly reduce production times in enclosure construction. The use of CAE systems is often the starting point for engineering and involves the digital creation of circuit, layout and wiring diagrams. The engineering software starts precisely at this work step and offers the option of adding the missing but necessary article information for all Phoenix Contact products with just a few clicks.
The integrated auto-correction function proactively points out optimization options that can be implemented directly. These optimizations can be carried out either individually or all at once. It is also possible to use the engineering software to place the required accessories, connectors, bridges and markings in the right places. The enriched data can then be used to finalize the project. Users have the choice of ordering the planned terminal blocks directly from Phoenix Contact and having them delivered or passing on the digital production data to their own production department.
