Direct data transfer

As a new system partner, Coscom has integrated Eureka with its machine simulation software directly into the Coscom Eco system.

Direct data transfer significantly reduces the number of interfaces in the production IT infrastructure: An interplay of independent components in digital, networked production based on the Coscom platform.

Central data storage in the Coscom Eco-System

The overarching strategic goal of modern production and at the same time the greatest challenge: the central management, organization and preparation of all data required for the start of a machine tool: NC programs, equipment data and instructions. All this valuable information is combined in the central Coscom data platform and the IT infrastructure required for this, such as PLM and ERP systems, CAD/CAM and simulation systems as well as tool measuring and storage systems, are networked with each other: the result is an end-to-end eco-system.

It is also possible to use the Coscom Eco system to start a virtual CNC machine. With Eureka, it has been possible to integrate the virtual twin of the CNC machine into this platform approach. The Eureka machine simulation is supplied with all relevant data from the Coscom data platform at the touch of a button and can fully exploit its simulation capabilities. By networking both systems, there is a direct data transfer between the Coscom Eco system and the Eureka machine simulation system.

Machine simulation at the touch of a button with data from the Coscom Eco system

When the Eureka machine simulation is called up from the Coscom data platform, the simulation project is automatically initialized with the corresponding data. The entire clamping situation with all raw and finished parts, all necessary tools and the assigned NC program are loaded. The NC program to be simulated can originate from various sources - whether CAD/CAM, generated by an NC editor or programmed on the real machine! The tools from the Coscom Eco-System are organized neutrally in the Coscom tool management ToolDIRECTOR VM and can be used for the Eureka machine simulation without additional formatting effort thanks to the Coscom TCI technology.

TCI (Tool Cooperation Interface) is a unique Coscom technology that enables central, universal data management, even when different CAD/CAM and simulation systems are used in the company. It ensures uniform data creation for different target systems for secure and sustainable data processes. All required technology data is available at the click of a mouse, making data preparation or even duplicate data systems a thing of the past.
