Ipo.Log 4 combines strategic planning with operations. According to the manufacturer, virtual test runs can be carried out in logistics at an early stage in order to find the right material arrangement and the best logistics concept. This allows problems to be identified at an early stage and avoided immediately - eliminating the cost of rework.

The application allows customers to improve their processes before SOP (Start of Production) and produce faster. In assembly and production, processes can be rearranged via drag and drop. The time-consuming repositioning of materials and the reconstruction of worker paths is handled fully automatically by the software. The tedious try-and-error procedure is therefore a thing of the past. All processes can be virtually simulated and optimized until the overall optimum has been found.

Line-back material flow planning
Based on the functions for production and assembly planning, line-back material flow planning was added in cooperation with companies such as Magna Steyr. Based on the production program, an entire plant is retrograded according to the line-back principle. Based on individual production orders, the utilization of employees, transports, tugger train tours, resource requirements and route utilization are calculated dynamically. Thanks to a wide range of reporting functions, planning results from strategic planning to operational series production can be easily and comprehensibly justified.

Thanks to the 3D model, every process can be checked in the virtual model on site in real time and in 3D. Any need for action can be identified quickly and, above all, can be understood by other departments. A holistic model is essential as a basis for decision-making, especially when coordinating between areas such as assembly and logistics, in order to ensure an overall optimum when making decisions.
