Abas Software wins Dr. Matthias Laux as CTO
Abas Software has appointed Dr. Matthias Laux, a cloud expert, as its new CTO. He is now responsible for the Karlsruhe-based ERP specialist's technology strategy.
Laux has already held various positions as CIO, CTO and overall head of software development for companies such as IBM, Sun Microsystems and Sage Software. In these positions, he gradually built up his expertise in the field of cloud technologies. He will also drive forward cloud activities at Abas. This includes implementing the cloud strategy in order to integrate the ERP system into a SaaS offering.
As CTO, Laux, who holds a doctorate, also has end-to-end responsibility for the technology and architecture of Abas software products. He is also responsible for technology scouting - i.e. identifying the latest trends such as AI and machine learning, IoT or blockchain - and analyzing their use. In addition to information security, simplifying and increasing the efficiency of the Abas development method round off his area of responsibility.
