Vision Sensor

A small vision with foresight

The CS 50 vision sensor is now also available as a long-range version. At a distance of up to two meters, it captures details of up to ten millimetres as well as larger objects completely in one image.

With a variable liquid lens, the compact vision sensor for testing, measuring and inspection tasks focuses on objects in the range between 75 and 1,200 millimetres with the greatest possible depth of field.

Using digital click zoom, the 16-millimetre optical lens simulates the focal length of a 32-millimetre lens without wear. Its preferred field of application: counting, checking and measuring (on a pixel basis), primarily in the context of robotics applications and quality inspections. Thanks to its robust optics and intuitive, user-oriented operating and tool software, the CS 50 vision sensor covers standard and special requirements in almost all industrial sectors. With up to 2,500 inspection processes per minute, the vision sensor can store a virtually unlimited number of jobs.

With its own computing power on board and the ability to communicate bidirectionally (CS 50→PLC and PLC→CS 50), the sensor can be standardized in various industrial applications. According to the company, it is currently the smallest vision sensor in the world (24.4 x 44.5 x 44.5 millimetres) and can be easily integrated into existing systems such as pick & place applications. The CS 50 is equipped with common interfaces such as Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, Profinet, RS232 and Digi/IO. as
