Safety sensor
RFID instead of keys
The more access points a machine or system has, the more complex the monitoring of safety equipment becomes. On the one hand, the safety of people and materials must be guaranteed, and on the other, the purity of the products and an undisturbed workflow must be ensured.
Security must therefore be ensured as efficiently as possible, while remaining cost-effective and maintenance-free in operation. This is why Contrinex offers a new compact RFID safety sensor. Measuring 36 x 26 x 13 millimetres, the sensor monitors the status of access points, flaps and doors without contact, meaning it is not subject to wear and tear and therefore has long maintenance intervals. In addition, up to 30 sensors can be connected in series with just one relay or controller. Even systems with many mechanical access points can be secured quickly and reliably, the manufacturer promises.
The sensors are individually coded for each individual monitoring point and are therefore tamper-proof. The RFID code required for this can either be randomly generated or set using the teach function. External contactor monitoring (EDM) and a feedback signal are also available. The safe switch-on/switch-off distances are eight or 18 millimetres. The safety sensor and transponder can also be installed concealed behind covers. as
