Acceleration sensor

Triaxial measurement in a compact design

With the model 639A91, PCB Piezotronics offers a compact, triaxial measuring acceleration sensor in an industrial design. On a footprint of just 24 x 24 mm, three sensor elements are housed in a ground-insulated and hermetically sealed housing made of 316L stainless steel.

Each axis measures up to 10 kHz, the lower cut-off frequency is 0.5 Hz. The measuring range is 5 g with a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The ICP/IEPE sensor operates at an ambient temperature of up to 121 °C.

The triaxial acceleration sensor 639A91 from PCB Piezotronics is characterized by its very compact design.

The electrical connection is established via a robust 4-pin M12 plug, pre-assembled cables are also available. The sensor is also optionally available with approval for potentially explosive atmospheres. Due to its small dimensions, it is also suitable for confined installation situations.

Application examples include the detection of bearing faults on motors and pumps, the detection of misalignment or imbalance as well as gearbox damage. The acceleration sensor can also be used in condition monitoring systems that have ICP/IEPE inputs. am
