Temperature detection

Measuring with Ethernet connection

With the E-TC measurement module, Measurement Computing (MCC) offers a solution with an Ethernet interface for precise temperature measurement. Up to eight thermocouples can be connected via screw terminals.

The measuring device has a 24-bit A/D converter, integrated cold junction compensation, cable break detection, event counter and eight digital I/O channels with alarm function. Standard programs such as Labview, Dasylab or Daqami are also supported. The differential thermocouple inputs are isolated from the host. Thanks to the 24-bit resolution, they enable precise temperature recording with up to four measured values per second and channel. Two integrated sensors for cold junction compensation (CJC) also contribute to the accuracy. Open thermocouple connections or cable breaks are detected automatically. A 32-bit counter and eight digital I/O channels - also isolated from the host - are also included. The measurement data is transmitted via Ethernet or LAN, meaning that the small measurement module can also be used in locations where a direct connection to a PC is not possible. as
