Precision for electronics

For process-critical circuits in electronics, high demands are placed on the tolerances of electronic components. The aim is to precisely adjust resistance and capacitance values using laser processing.

Laser trimmers from ACI Laser have been specially developed for the requirements of the electronics industry and are available as an integration system, in manual workstations or customized automated solutions. An integrated vision system detects the component to be trimmed on the electrically contacted circuit board with high accuracy. The component is modified with targeted laser cuts and thus aligned. Various cutting geometries are available for specific applications. A real-time interface on the trimming laser in conjunction with suitable measurement technology ensures pulse-accurate cut-off and precise trimming results.

ACI's experts support customers in the areas of technology, application and customer-specific hardware and software solutions. Robust, compact and air-cooled fiber laser systems form the heart of the laser trimmers. The low-maintenance devices are characterized by high performance stability, an important prerequisite for reproducible and stable trimming results.
