Infrared temperature sensor

Recognize hot objects

Sensor specialist Balluff has developed the BTS, an infrared temperature sensor with an IO-Link interface and two switching outputs. It can be used to monitor temperatures between 250 and 1,250 degrees Celsius without contact or feedback, even in inaccessible or dangerous environments, to detect hot objects in motion and to record temperature values.

The pyrometer in a robust M30 stainless steel housing with IP67 protection offers a multifunctional display with plain text information and automatic display alignment like a smartphone for the first time in this design. According to the manufacturer, the IO-Link interface, another unique feature, enables remote parameterization of the sensor from the higher-level controller or a control station. Ideal areas of application include foundries, forges, steelworks, the ceramics industry and glassworks. as
