Digital display transmission
B&R has introduced the fourth generation of Smart Display Link (SDL) display transmission technology.
SDL4 is based on HDBaseT 2.0 and enables distances of 100 m between industrial PC and display device. It uses standard Ethernet cables for data transmission.
An SDL4 converter makes it possible to connect up to three panels to one PC. A fourth Automation Panel with different image content can also be operated via a further SDL4 interface. The transmission technology is independent of software and operating systems and integrates all communication channels such as USB, touch screen and function keys into one cable. SDL4 transmits all signals uncompressed and in high resolutions.
