Faro introduces 8-axis measuring system
The 8-axis Quantum system for 3D metrology from Faro combines the portable Quantum FaroArm or ScanArm with a functionally integrated but physically separate eighth axis.
This complete rotary axis connects directly to the FaroArm, becoming a seamlessly integrated, highly accurate auxiliary axis that requires no additional set-up time or installation work. This measurement solution allows you to reach any location around the object without having to move the arm during the process.
The 8-axis system is suitable for tactile and non-contact measuring and scanning applications such as part inspection, alignment, dimensional analysis, CAD-based inspection, prototype part scanning and reverse engineering.
Faro also presented its Early Adopter (EA) program at this year's Control: The company presented solutions that are currently still in development. The program aims to develop and refine Faro solutions together with EA members before they are available on the market.
