With the O200 series, Baumer wants to raise the bar for miniature optical sensors.
The sensors with a wide range of functions in a standard miniature housing are economical to operate and impress users with their ambient light immunity and high-power mode; the manufacturer calls this "beyond the standard". The sensors are not disturbed by machine reflections or other sensors, not even by bright LED lighting, which operate with similar spectra and switching frequencies as the sensors.
A sophisticated combination of precise optics, powerful electronics and a highly developed algorithm ensures consistently high detection reliability. With the high-power mode, the sensors can reliably detect ultra-black objects that absorb a lot of light, even at great distances. Variants with V-optics are available for shiny or transparent objects. Smart Reflect makes the external reflector superfluous. Industry 4.0 capability is provided by the latest IO-Link standard. With the sensors, the data for the beam path is embedded in the CAD data. The O200 portfolio currently comprises around 130 variants with different properties and combinations. pb
