Vision 4.0
Compact camera with 256 test programs
With the intelligent compact camera pictor metimus, demanding inspection tasks can be performed virtually from a standing start. The image processing software is already integrated into the hardware along with common inspection sequences.
The pictor metimus is the latest addition to Vision & Control's range of smart compact cameras. Based on the hardware of the pictor-n series, the image processing software in this model is already installed in the device. Via Ethernet interface and web interface, it can be operated immediately without software installation via PCs that have access to the same network.
The camera has pre-installed inspection sequences, and typical tasks such as measuring distances and angles, 360-degree pattern searches or presence checks can be completed quickly. The camera can accommodate up to 256 inspection programs in total. The inspection areas can be flexibly adjusted, even polygons with curved edges are possible, according to the manufacturer.
With its compact housing (80 x 45 x 20 millimeters), the pictor metimus is designed for use in a direct machine environment. The dual-core ARM Cortex®-A9 processor is designed to provide the necessary computing power. In addition to the Ethernet interface, four opto-decoupled digital I/O interfaces are available for communication with the outside world.
The pictor metimus is also compatible with the other vicosys multi-camera systems. The flexible C-mount optics and lighting can also be used with it. as
