X-Sensors has been developing and producing force and strain sensors for OEMs in special applications for 25 years. With the acquisition of X-Sensors, Baumer is broadening its portfolio in force and strain sensors.

"The use of smart electronics and IO-Link is giving force and strain sensors an incredible boost to innovation. This makes intelligent solutions simpler and more cost-effective for users. As an innovative sensor specialist, Baumer will play a key role in driving this development forward. The acquisition of X-Sensors AG will accelerate this process," says Dr. Oliver Vietze, CEO of the Baumer Group.

Customers will be served via the existing sales channels until further notice. In the medium term, the X-Sensors product range will be integrated into the Baumer portfolio.
