Safety for AGVs

Always on the move

Leuze electronic is presenting two products to enable driverless transport systems in the Smart Factory to navigate automatically based on natural environmental features: The RSL 400 safety laser scanner and the OGS 600.

The RSL 400 safely reduces the speed of an AGV by monitoring several protective fields in parallel. These new functions are also available as a device variant with a Profinet/Profisafe interface for easy integration into industrial networks. An AIDA-compliant version is also available for the automotive industry. Alternatively, the navigation of automated AGVs can be solved using flexible, optical track guidance. The compact OGS 600 sensor is suitable for this purpose, as its edge detection and the transmission of control signals to the drive enable the track to be guided optically. The routes can be flexibly adapted using optimized track bands. The OGS 600 only has a minimum distance to the ground of ten millimetres, which allows it to be integrated even in flat vehicles. as
