Safety light grid
UL-certified for USA and Canada
According to the company, the Psenopt II Type 3 safety light curtains from Pilz are the first in the world to be approved by the global testing organization Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
The certification confirms that the safety light curtains meet the national safety standards of the USA and Canada. Machine manufacturers benefit from this, especially if they export to these markets.
Psenopt II Type 3 safety light curtains have successfully passed the certification process of UL, a world leader in safety science. UL certification supports companies and users in launching their products and systems on the North American market. This benefits customers on site, as commissioning can take place more quickly.
With the Psenopt II type 3 safety light curtains introduced in 2016 as a world first for this safety category, applications in the Performance Level d (PL d) safety category can be easily implemented. This ultimately saves costs, as there is no need to oversize.
The Psenopt II product family of safety light curtains ensures safe intervention in the production process. Depending on the requirements, the safety light grids comply with EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 "Safety of machinery - Electro-sensitive protective equipment" for finger, hand and body protection. In addition, Pilz safety light grids are the only ones on the market with a shock resistance of 50 g. The extremely shock-resistant light grids are therefore ideal for harsh industrial environments. They also ensure productive safety, particularly in robot applications, packaging machines and presses. PSENopt II therefore offer increased flexibility with regard to their place of use.
In conjunction with control technology from Pilz - for example the safe, configurable small controller Pnozmulti 2 - the Psenopt II safety light grids represent a safe and economical complete solution for all sectors and areas of application.
