Solenoid interlocks

Annina Schopen,

Small, robust and strong door guards

Pilz is expanding its portfolio of solenoid interlocks with PSENmlock mini for space-critical applications and PSENslock 2 with optimized hygienic design. PSENmlock mini is characterized by its small design (30 mm x 30 mm x 159 mm).

The safety switch manages protective devices such as flaps and hoods via safe guard locking for personnel protection applications up to PL d, category 3 (EN ISO 13849-1). 1,950 N guard locking force FZH (F1max: 3,900 N), with which the solenoid interlock also secures higher forces, ensures robustness. The solenoid interlock PSENslock 2 complies with IP67 and IP6K9K. The solenoid interlock compensates for tolerances caused by safety gate misalignment or vibrations thanks to flexibly mounted actuators with large contact surfaces. Variants with stainless steel components are available for more hygiene-critical applications in the packaging industry. PSENslock 2 can be used universally for safety gate guarding and is designed up to the highest safety category PL e, Cat. 4 in accordance with EN ISO 13849. The locking force F1max of either 1,000 or 2,000 N and the tamper protection of the RFID safety switch via freely selectable coding offer process protection.
