Small controls
Simulate configuration offline
From version 10.9 of the Pilz software tool Pnozmulti Configurator, projects for configurable small controllers can also be simulated offline without using hardware. This allows errors to be detected early enough.
With the "Simulation" function, the configured user program for the safe monitoring of machines and systems can be tested before they are commissioned. With the simulation, users ensure that their safety controller is "configured without errors" and the correct function of the program logic is verified before live use. In this way, application simulation helps to keep user programs manageable despite the growing size of machines and their increasing degree of automation.
This is particularly advantageous for machines with complex safety devices and close human-machine interaction, where extensive and complex safety mechanisms have to protect the operator.
Simple logic elements, counters, operating modes such as continuous cycle are calculated automatically in the first step. In addition, it is also possible to simulate the entire application if elements that are not simulated are set to the required state by forcing the outputs (fixed specification of the signal state). This eliminates the need to define all inputs. Simulation thus reduces installation costs and helps to reduce risks for man and machine. as
