Schmersal founds subsidiary in Thailand
The Schmersal Group continues to expand its business in Asia and has founded a new subsidiary, Schmersal Thailand, based in Bangkok.
"The Thai market and the entire Southeast Asia region offer great potential for Schmersal," explains Prasad Kulkarni, Managing Director of Schmersal Thailand. The ASEAN countries (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) form one of the most dynamic economic areas in the world with high growth rates.
The branch in Bangkok will support Schmersal's sales partners in the ASEAN region and supply the markets in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and South Korea with products and system solutions for machine safety. In addition, certified Functional Safety Engineers from tec.nicum, Schmersal's service division, which offers a program of safety services, will also work at the new location.
Schmersal Thailand's customers include companies from the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, robotics and automation, steel and automotive industries. "With the new company in Thailand, we will be even better able to cope with the current and expected growth and can react even more flexibly to the rapidly developing Southeast Asian markets," says Prasad Kulkarni. as
