The mat thus combines safe area monitoring with the operation of machines and systems in a single sensor. This enables completely new machine operating concepts. Integrated OSSD outputs mean that cabling can be reduced and PSENmat can be easily connected to any evaluation device. In addition to the individual operating concepts, the safety mat optimally secures access points against access by persons in accordance with the safety mat standard EN ISO 13856-1. The mat slows down or stops the machine when it enters the danger zone. In applications that are difficult to see, protection is also provided when walking behind. PSENmat offers safety up to SIL 2 in accordance with EN ISO 61508 or safety level PL d in accordance with EN 13849.

In addition, the robust safety mat, which is suitable for high mechanical loads, is designed to IP67 protection class and can be used in ambient temperatures from zero to 55 degrees Celsius. The safety mat completes the Pilz sensor technology range for monitoring areas and rooms. PSENmat can be connected to the configurable safety systems PNOZmulti or the automation system PSS 4000 or even to the visualization solution PMIvisu. as
