Safe use on vertical surfaces

The PSENscan safety laser scanners from Pilz are now also suitable for area guarding in vertical applications such as access guarding. Applications can be designed more flexibly, which minimizes downtimes and increases cost-effectiveness.

Thanks to integrated muting inputs, applications can now be monitored in which material is fed in and out at the same time. The material is detected by the safety laser scanner and is allowed to pass through the protective field without reducing the speed of the conveyor belt. This avoids downtimes and increases productivity.

With the PSENscan Light, Master and Slave variants, up to 70 switchable configurations can be defined and up to three separate zones can be monitored simultaneously. Up to four safety laser scanners can be connected in series, which reduces cabling and set-up costs. The warning and protective fields are freely configurable. With its compact housing, PSENscan can be flexibly integrated into various applications. as
