Rockwell Automation takes over Avnet
Rockwell Automation has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Israeli cybersecurity provider Avnet Data Security.
With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and a comprehensive range of IT/OT cybersecurity services, Avnet offers services such as risk assessments, penetration testing, network and security solutions, and training on merging IT and OT from a cybersecurity perspective.
"With Avnet's broad range of services, training, research and managed services, we continue to develop our portfolio in this rapidly evolving market," says Frank Kulaszewicz, Senior Vice President Control Products & Solutions at Rockwell Automation.
"Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing areas of Rockwell Automation's services and business areas. Due to digitalization within the manufacturing industry and increased connectivity within plants, traditional physical security strategies are no longer sufficient to ensure production operations," Kulaszewicz continues. "To continue to support our customers in planning, implementing and developing proactive cybersecurity strategies, Rockwell Automation already has a wide range of services and solutions.
