GDPR

Ready for the regulation

"There is still a lot of uncertainty about what the new General Data Protection Regulation means for your own company and how compliance with the resulting requirements can be ensured in your own network with manageable effort...

Particularly in the case of cross-border data exchange within collaboration networks, pragmatic data protection must be established in order to comply with the rights and obligations for data storage, processing and exchange between all companies, users and systems involved in the process," explains Taskworld Germany Managing Director Patrick Wings. "As one of the world's leading providers of cloud and app-enabled collaboration and project management software with customers in over 80 countries, we place very high demands on process transparency, data protection and data security. That's why, with the infrastructure service provider Amazon Web Services and data hosting in a data center in Frankfurt am Main, we have chosen a strong partner that meets the highest compliance and security standards and is able to respond to very individual customer requirements with flexible infrastructure services - within seconds and on the basis of a usage-based pricing model."

GDPR-ready with Taskworld
Depending on their individual requirements profile, Taskworld users have the choice of operating the Taskworld solution portfolio on a German server in a virtual private cloud or a shared cloud environment of the local infrastructure partner Amazon Web Services. When using cloud services, users already expect maximum transparency about where exactly the data is stored, who has access to it, how it is secured and which compliance and data protection guidelines it is subject to. Together with AWS, Taskworld already meets the most important standards according to ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 9001, the Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalog (C5 Germany) and the SOC 3 report for internal control mechanisms with regard to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality or data protection. Taskworld and AWS also guarantee all cloud customers compliance with the EU GDPR when it comes into force on May 25, 2018, including compliance with the CISPE Code of Conduct for Cloud Infrastructure Service Providers, granular access controls, logging and monitoring tools, data encryption, key management, audit capabilities and ongoing compliance with IT security standards and Level C5 certificates.

Full control over content and data protection
Customers retain full control at all times over which access and security measures they want to use to protect their own data, applications, systems and networks - giving companies the same degree of freedom as when operating in the local data center. Controlling, checking and managing access, authorizations, configurations and usage are also a key convenience factor for IT infrastructure management today. With the AWS Cloud and the option to use it as a VPC or on-premise solution, these functions are integrated into the platform via a management console to facilitate the implementation of compliance, governance and legal requirements.

Request a GDPR checklist free of charge
With Taskworld and AWS, companies are optimally equipped for the new General Data Protection Regulation. In order to make GDPR compliance easier for customers beyond the use of Taskworld, Taskworld provides a checklist from the Chambers of Industry and Commerce on request for their own inventory to determine which data protection measures are in place in the company or whether they are compatible with the GDPR and where improvements should be made.
