Claroty xDome is the industry's first solution to offer the simplicity and scalability of SaaS without compromising on the breadth and depth of visibility, protection and monitoring of systems. This is critical to the overall security process, especially given the rapid proliferation of CPS in the extended Internet of Things (XIoT).

According to Gartner, "Over time, the technologies that underpin critical infrastructure have become increasingly digitized and interconnected, either with the organization's IT systems and/or with each other, creating cyber-physical systems. Critical infrastructures consist of both older infrastructures (installed years ago without built-in security measures) and new installations, which also have numerous vulnerabilities. The result is a significant increase in the attack surface for hackers and malicious actors of all kinds, and the CPS that make up the bulk of these critical infrastructures are increasingly under attack." To better secure cyber-physical systems, Gartner predicts that "80 percent of organizations operating critical infrastructure will abandon their existing siloed security vendors by 2024 to overcome cyber-physical and IT risks through the use of hyper-converged solutions."

Claroty xDome addresses these requirements by supporting the entire CPS security processes for any organization - regardless of the type of cyber-physical systems underlying their processes, their current maturity phase or their network architecture. This includes:

  • Comprehensive and in-depth asset detection functions. A complete XIoT inventory is the foundation for CPS security. To achieve this, multiple asset detection methods must be combined, tailored to the individual requirements of each environment. While most other SaaS solutions rely solely on passive monitoring, xDome offers other methods such as active queries without the need for locally deployed hardware. This provides customers with effective asset tracking while benefiting from the simplicity and scalability of a SaaS solution.
  • Support for vulnerability and risk management through award-winning research. Vulnerabilities are a key element of resilience and are common in industrial environments. xDome closes these gaps by correlating each system with the findings of Claroty's research department (Team82) and known vulnerabilities. Based on this, individual risk assessments are created and targeted recommendations are made. This enables customers to prioritize their most pressing risks and mitigate them accordingly.
  • Network segmentation controls that protect against escalating risks. Effective segmentation is essential for minimizing cyber and operational risks. However, it can be difficult and even dangerous to implement due to the complexity, vulnerability and criticality of CPS. xDome overcomes this challenge by clearly defining segmentation policies that can be automatically and securely enforced across the existing infrastructure.
  • Detection and response capabilities to combat known and unknown threats. Because no environment is immune to threats, xDome enables users to quickly detect and remediate attack vectors, identify and respond to initial indicators of known and unknown threats, and integrate these capabilities into existing SOC tools and workflows.

"While asset discovery is a necessity and forms the foundation of security strategy, it does not provide real value on its own," explains Yaniv Vardi, CEO of Claroty. "By complementing asset intelligence with vulnerability and risk management, organizations are in a much better position: they can no longer just respond to cyber threats and incidents that already exist on the network, but proactively prevent them from occurring in the first place. This realignment is critical to achieving operational and cyber resilience. This is exactly where xDome supports our customers, because prevention is always better than cure."

"When we got the opportunity to look at Claroty's new xDome solution, we were excited about it," says Ivan Low, General Manager of SecureCraft Singapore. "xDome is a complete solution for customers who are looking at Industry 4.0, transitioning to Industry 5.0 and implementing smart building solutions for their building management systems. The combination of OT with IoT, IoMT and IIoT fully brings out the strength of Claroty xDome for the XIoT."
