The range extends from locks for basic requirements with improved burglar-resistant properties to panic locks and panic boxes, self-locking security locks with tilt latch technology and mechatronic high-security locks.

Locks with tilt latch technology

When it comes to combining tightness, burglary protection and accessibility, the security locks in the N8 series with self-locking via tilt latch and 20 mm deadbolt throw set new standards. The tilt latch mechanism ensures that all forces occurring on the door due to preload are compensated for - whether due to sealing pressure or a warped door leaf. Regardless of the number of locking points and any thermally induced pressure differences, the smooth operation of the lever handle and cylinder is maintained. The specifications for panic and emergency exit locks in accordance with EN179 / EN1125 are met across the board.

The noise insulation integrated into the latch guarantees not only smooth but also particularly quiet operation. In the versions with motorized locks, the decoupled preload also favours a particularly fast unlocking process. From daytime operation, this takes less than half a second. The lock variants mentioned can also be equipped with top locking and/or a monitoring function. Due to the significantly reduced mechanical load, fabricators and operators also benefit from long-lasting functionality, even with increased requirements.

Wide range of single and double-leaf panic functions

The mechanical N8 security locks include solutions with panic functions B, C and E. Variants for bidirectional escape route requirements with independently inward or outward opening panic sides are also available. The electromechanical versions can be used in both stand-alone and Hi-O bus operation. In stand-alone mode, three signals are already available on feedback contacts as standard. If more extensive monitoring is required, the full range of functions can be called up via bus or iO modules. Switching between the two operating modes can be easily carried out on the lock.

If double-leaf full panic door systems are to be realized in accordance with EN179 / EN1125, suitable panic counter boxes are available. Depending on the requirements, these can be operated using the lever handle (EN179) or a panic push bar (EN1125). A motorized version is also available, which can unlock a mechanical active leaf lock. This makes it possible to set whether only the active leaf should be released or the active and passive leaves at the same time. A practical installation tool is available in the extensive range of lock accessories for particularly easy installation of the top locking rods.

The range of property locks has also been rounded off at the bottom end, for which a panic lock case is also available - including variants with an integrated ProFix-2electric strike (METÖ).
