Light grid

Nimble and versatile

Light grids are suitable for checking or counting objects. To ensure that the final quality assurance does not slow down the preceding production, short reaction times are also required here, as well as high resolution, long ranges and different detection heights.

Due to resolutions of 0.9 to 25 millimetres, even small objects can be reliably detected with the switching infrared light grids. (Image: Contrinex)

The DGI series of switching infrared light grids from Contrinex now meets all these requirements. The DGI light grids have a footprint of 40 x 20.5 millimeters. Thanks to the resolutions of 0.9 millimetres, two millimetres, four millimetres, eight millimetres or 25 millimetres, even small parts can be reliably detected. The devices with a resolution of 0.9 and two millimetres have a potentiometer for fine adjustment. The response times are between 0.8 and 4.8 milliseconds.

Contrinex offers the devices with detection heights from 75 to 2,010 millimeters and with ranges of up to 8,000 millimeters. Contrinex also emphasizes the ease of installation. With a robust aluminum housing and a wide temperature range from minus five to plus 50 degrees Celsius, they are also suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Typical areas of application include small parts or film production, packaging, pharmaceuticals and the timber industry. as
