Focus on safety

Sensor expert Leuze electronic is focusing its trade fair presence on its expertise in safety at work. Based on its MLC safety light curtains, the optical sensor manufacturer has developed Smart Process Gating, an alternative to the muting process that does not require signal-emitting sensors.

The company is also presenting the RSL 400 safety laser scanner. Its new Profinet/Profisafe variants can be easily integrated into industrial networks, according to the manufacturer. These are also available in an AIDA-compliant version for the German automotive industry. Another new feature is the combination of RSL safety technology with a measured value output for the navigation of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).

In addition to its safety solutions, Industry 4.0-capable solutions are another focus of Leuze's trade fair presence. Using application examples from the beverage industry, the company will show how condition monitoring and predictive maintenance help users to plan maintenance intervals. as
