New series
Emergency pull-wire switch for the extreme
With the ZS 92 S series, Steute's Extreme division is presenting a new emergency pull-wire switch series which has been developed from the ground up for extreme applications.
The die-cast aluminum housing of the series is very robust and has multiple coatings (passivation, primer, powder coating). The developers recalculated the cable system during the design phase and were also able to achieve reduced tripping forces and distances for actuating the emergency stop function. This makes the safety switching device easier to operate and also ensures that all relevant international standards (for emergency stop switching devices, emergency pull-wire switches and the safety of continuous conveyors) are reliably met.
The ZS 92 S can be supplied with nine different settings for adjusting the release lever and unlocking mechanism. This means it can be installed in almost any position of use and, for the first time, can also be mounted on the rear panel. The compatible connection dimensions both to the predecessor model ZS 91 and to other commercially available emergency pull-wire switches simplify the retrofitting of the new series to existing (conveyor) systems.
The options available to the user of the ZS 92 S include an LED indicator light and the option of connecting to the safety-related Dupline Safe protocol via an integrated and pluggable safety bus module.
The ZS 92 S can be used under adverse environmental conditions at temperatures from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius - with cable lengths of a maximum of two times 100 meters. The emergency pull-wire switch is available immediately, and a belt-alignment switch from the ZS 92 series will follow shortly, according to the manufacturer. Variants for areas at risk of gas and dust explosions are in preparation. as
