Cyber security solution
Encryption solution with centralized management
With the new "Panda Full Encryption" tool, Panda Security is expanding its "Adaptive Defense 360" cyber security solution to include an effective encryption solution for additional data protection on all endpoints.
By automatically encrypting the drives of desktops, laptops and servers, unauthorized persons without the appropriate access cannot access the information stored there: an additional level of security and control for companies. In addition to the complete encryption and decryption of all drives, this module also offers the management of recovery keys. In addition, a data analysis of the encryption status can be exported and a centralized, individual policy application can be defined.
According to Gartner, 10 percent of all notebooks are stolen or lost during their lifecycle. Around 16% of data breaches are caused by loss of assets, for example due to computer fraud.* This makes it clear that data encryption on mobile devices is a fundamental aspect of a company's IT infrastructure. Especially since the introduction of the GDPR, encrypted data is not considered compromised in the event of a data leak.
While "Panda Adaptive Defense 360" offers advanced endpoint protection against cyberattacks, the "Panda Full Encryption" add-on module provides simple and effective protection against direct device access - whether after theft, loss or from malicious insiders. Using Windows-based BitLocker technology, hard disks can be encrypted and decrypted centrally with just a few clicks, without affecting device usage. If BitLocker is not present or activated, the Panda security tool automatically handles all settings and activations - even with integrated Trusted Platform modules. Panda recommends using this encryption solution with a separate password. However, it is also possible to enable access to the encrypted data via the general Windows login.
Stored recovery keys give companies a decisive advantage as they can be managed and controlled centrally via the cloud-based "Aether" platform. If the recovery key is lost, a network administrator can retrieve it in the "Aether" management console and send it to the user. Group and endpoint-specific encryption rules can also be defined and displayed in reports so that they can be submitted to supervisory authorities or institutions if necessary. This module stands out due to its ease of use and maintenance, minimal use of resources, guaranteed service availability and constant system monitoring. Accordingly, "Panda Full Encryption" rounds off the advanced IT security solution "Adaptive Defense 360", which - based on AI and self-learning systems in big data environments - provides real-time monitoring and classification of all processes on all endpoints, including mobile devices.
