Options for good blasting system service
Downtimes and unplanned "ad-hoc" spare parts orders disrupt operations and are also costly. Avoiding them is therefore important for uninterrupted production. This fact also applies to blasting systems. This allows the specialist to see exactly the same thing as the person on site. He can immediately grasp the situation and defuse it both verbally and by simultaneously transmitting further information such as circuit diagrams, drawings, sketches and graphic elements. The communication is recorded and is therefore traceable. The data is also available for later analysis.
Remote maintenance
Many customers decide to install a remote maintenance function. This allows AGTOS technicians to connect to the desired machine via VPN using an external web portal. This gives them the opportunity to view the program online.
On the one hand, digital signal states or analog target/actual values can be analyzed in order to find out, for example, why the machine is not behaving as it should. In many cases, faults can be rectified directly or at least hints or assistance can be provided for rectification.
On the other hand, this method can also be used to implement various software changes requested by the customer, e.g. changes that only arise during operation. As the operator on site can tell the programmer at the other end of the VPN tunnel exactly what is currently happening on the machine, the programmer can quickly find solutions even though he is not at the same location.
Predictive maintenance
The continuous recording and storage of important (real-time) machine data helps the person responsible to analyze future failures at an early stage. Predictive maintenance is the keyword here. The user gets to know their machine better and has the opportunity to predict future maintenance work or even damage with a high degree of probability, thereby saving costs. If this tool is supplemented by personally planned machine inspections, the production manager is very likely to be spared any nasty surprises.
