ULT plants trees in Wisconsin

When the North American subsidiary ULT LLC was founded in 2017, it made a promise: "We will plant a tree for every extraction system sold." This has now been kept.

In May 2019, ULT LLC fulfilled its duty and supported the planting of native tree and bush seedlings in the Mequon Nature Preserve (MNP) in Wisconsin. In addition to the plants, the company paid the transportation costs for 150 students from a City of Milwaukee school.

Wolfgang Koehler, Managing Director of ULT LLC, explains: "In addition to our promised contribution to environmental protection and nature conservation, we also wanted to familiarize students from the Milwaukee Public School System with this topic. We know that tight budgets usually prevent field trips of this kind. That's why, together with the Mequon Nature Preserve, we decided to bring the kids into nature. After all, it is the responsibility of all of us to make children aware of the fragile balance in nature. Planting seedlings can have a hugely positive impact."

In the 111-hectare nature reserve, former farmland is to be gradually replaced by forests, prairies and wetlands. There is also an education program that aims to give around 10,000 children and adults an appreciation of nature and an understanding of its complexity and fragility.
