Motek 2019

Mara Hofacker,

Tipping in the anniversary year

This year, the Heinrich Kipp plant is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Accordingly, the company's appearance at Motek 2019 is also dedicated to the anniversary. The company will be presenting new products, including the new Bighand tube handle and smart products from the Feature grip product line. Visitors to the trade fair will also be able to see the Kipp automation cell for clamping technology for themselves.

The most important milestones from 100 years of Kipp can be traced at the trade fair stand using historical exhibits: From the company's first successful product - the spaetzle machine - to the adjustable clamping lever, which caused a small revolution in mechanical engineering from 1952. Today, the company is a manufacturer of standard elements and operating parts that are in high demand, particularly in production and assembly automation.

The focus of the Motek presentation will be on the innovative Feature grip product line, which takes account of advancing digitalization: Electromechanical and sensor elements are integrated into the components and solutions so that users can make their manufacturing processes more stable and precise and benefit from greater process reliability. Examples of the smart products include a quick-release clamp with force sensor and spring-loaded thrust pieces and locking pins equipped with condition sensors.

At Motek, Kipp will also be showcasing the newly designed Bighand tubular handle, which offers a secure and comfortable grip thanks to its ergonomic oval handle shape and optimum tube size. It consists of an oval aluminum tube and end pieces as well as cover caps made of thermoplastic, whereby the end pieces are equipped with stainless steel bushings. Bighand impresses with its timeless and elegant design and blends in perfectly with its surroundings thanks to its variable color scheme. The tubular handle can therefore be used in machine and plant construction as well as in the furniture industry and in sports equipment construction.

The Kipp automation cell will also be on show at Motek: The robot system for the automatic loading of CNC machines can be connected to both existing and new machine tools. The company realizes complete solutions for CNC machine manufacturers on request, whereby clamping technology and automation are adapted to customer requirements.
